Terms

These terms are an agreement between you and GLX Technologies LLC for the Toldbird app, Toldbird Pro and this website.

Last updated 2026-10-26

1. Who we are

Toldbird is operated by GLX Technologies LLC, a limited liability company organized in Wyoming, United States (“we”, “us”). Contact: supporttoldbird.com.

2. The app

When you buy Toldbird you get a personal, non-transferable licence to install and use the app on Macs you own or control, for yourself or your business. The app is licensed, not sold. Do not resell it, share your licence, or work around its plan checks.

3. The one-time purchase and refunds

The one-time purchase (USD 29 at launch) unlocks the app and its owner features for life. The price you pay is the total shown at checkout. If you change your mind, ask within 14 days of purchase and we refund it in full; no reason needed.

4. Toldbird Pro

Toldbird Pro (USD 9 per month at launch) is a monthly subscription that adds the answer engine: observer, drafts, coach hints, Lookup and cloud calendars. It renews every month until you cancel. You can cancel at any time; Pro then runs until the end of the month you paid for and does not renew. We do not refund part months unless the law requires it. If we change the Pro price, we tell you at least 30 days before your next renewal, and you can cancel before it applies.

5. Founding seat reservations

Reserving a founding seat is free and is not a purchase. It puts you in the queue to be offered checkout when Toldbird 1.0 ships. Neither side is bound to anything by a reservation.

6. Your responsibilities in meetings

Laws on recording and transcribing conversations differ by state and country, and some require everyone’s consent. You are responsible for telling the people you meet with and for getting consent where the law requires it, and for following the rules of any meeting or employer you take part in. Do not use Toldbird where recording or transcription is not allowed.

7. Drafts are suggestions

Drafts, hints and lookups are generated by language models and search results. They can be wrong, out of date or inappropriate. Toldbird never types or sends anything for you: you decide what you say and do.

8. Third-party services and Lookup results

Pro sends short excerpts to language models through OpenRouter (see our privacy policy). When you press Lookup, the question text is sent through our server to Brave Search, and up to three result snippets are shown on your card. Brave Search results are licensed to us, and we pass on the limits that come with them:

  • Use Lookup results only to inform your own meetings.
  • Do not redistribute, resell, store, or scrape them.
  • Do not use them to train, fine-tune, or benchmark any model, or to build or improve a search index.

Toldbird shows results transiently and does not store them. You are responsible for what you do with a result you copy out of the app.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep Toldbird Pro running, but it depends on networks and third parties and may sometimes be unavailable. The owner features of the app keep working on your Mac without Pro. We may change or discontinue Pro features; if we end Pro, we refund the unused part of the current month.

10. Ending

You can stop using Toldbird at any time. We may suspend or end an account that breaks these terms, after telling you why where we reasonably can.

11. Warranties and liability

Toldbird is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim about Toldbird is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are heard in the state or federal courts located in Wyoming. Nothing in these terms limits any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country or state of residence, and nothing here deprives you of the protection of provisions that cannot be derogated from by agreement under that law.

13. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we update the date above and tell signed-in users in the app before the change takes effect.
